Manasota Key Fl (Storch Report) – Gulf View Grill is now the Waverly Restaurant And Bar, Flounders is now the Sand Bar, Lock ‘N Key remains the same and the Manasota Key Coffee House closed.
However, sources tell us that owners of Lock ‘N Key bought the Coffee House and we are awaiting news of what is planned for this facility.
Lock ‘N Key has also initiated golf cart livery service for customers who don’t want to drive to and from the pub as well the delivery of food service within a specified radius of the restaurant.
The Pac-Man gobbling-up of establishments on the Key took place last April when Sue and ‘Rocket’ Atamanchuk, owners of Lock ‘N Key bought Flounders which is now the Sand Bar and Jill and Scott Hemmes who own the Beach Road Wine Bar & Bistro purchased Gulf View Grill, now the Waverly.
Plans are in the works for Lock ‘N Key and the Sand Bar to expand upwards so both will have views of the Gulf from a second floor, which the Waverly all ready has.
The Bistro which is located just before the Tom Adams Bridge on Beach Road also has plans for expansion to a second floor providing views of Lemon Bay and the Inter-coastal waterway.
