Obama The Great Defender Of Climate Change

ISIS V Climate ChangeNew London, Conn. (Storch Report) — There is ISIS, controlling Iraq and Syria proliferating global terrorism and beheading Christians in the name of Islam; Iran and North Korea threatening global nuclear annihilation with weapons of mass destruction and in urban America there is the burning down of cities because of racial unrest and President Obama addresses graduates of the United States Coast Guard Academy this week, by underscoring the risks to national security posed by climate change.  A rather perverted sense of priorities and leadership.

I would suggest that the so-called leader of the free world has his priorities scrambled much like the Drones with which he thinks he can fight wars and terrorism.

He tells us that his number one objective is to defend the people of the United States, yet he tells a branch of our military that one of his top priorities for action in his remaining 19 months in office is climate change.

He has a history of saying one thing and meaning another.

Imagine having ISIS, Iran, North Korea, not to mention Russia and China, as a significant and immediate threat to global peace and he tells a branch of our military, charged with the nation’s defense, “The threat of changing climate cuts to the very core of your service.”

He went on to say, “It will affect everything that you do in your careers,” adding that sea levels were expected to rise by 1 to 4 feet in the coming century.

One need not have to worry about rising sea levels tomorrow if they don’t have a head today.

The bizarre sense of priorities was confirmed by the White House on February 10, 2015 that Obama does believe climate change is a greater threat to the country’s national security than terrorism.

He said to the Academy graduates, “Around the world, climate change increases the risk of instability and conflict,” he said. “Make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country.  So we need to act, and we need to act now.”

“Denying it or refusing to deal with it endangers our national security,” he added. “It undermines the readiness of our forces.”

While Obama doesn’t seem to have a strategy for the real threats facing America, the speech was a poor stretch to an unlikely audience, one that falls in line with others encompassing polices for a failing health care system, wealth redistribution, strategy’s  that deflate job growth, a phony economy bolstered by the Feds infusing printed money and a cause Obama has personally taken on as a community organizer — fueling racism in American cities.

He only has 19 months left, enough time to deliver more damage, that someone else hopefully with more common sense, will have to clean-up.

And at that point in time one would hope that an informed electorate might have learned its lesson during the past 8 years — that is if it hasn’t already been rigged by a plotted immigration policy for votes — and elect that person with the leadership qualities and the common sense to put the country’s priorities in order and put this nation in a place in which it is proud to be.
