Meryl Streep – The Imperious, Pedantic One

Hollywood (Storch Report) — Everyone knew she was a great actor and even believed she had class, but Meryl Streep proved otherwise Sunday in accepting a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes turning in the worst performance of her lifetime.

There she was standing before the wealthiest of the privileged, a bunch of hypocritical people decked out in $10,000 tuxedos and $20,000 dresses, holding her lifetime achievement award personally attacking President-elect Donald Trump, and those who love him and voted for him, while behaving imperiously and pedantically as an elitist snob attempting to outdo the loser Hillary Clinton who previously branded the middle class as ‘a basket of deplorables.’

Had she cast for the part, she wouldn’t have gotten it, the words were so poorly chosen and delivered.

She even went as far as playing the pedantic one saying if all the ‘outsiders and foreigners’ were kicked out of Hollywood, ‘you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.’  I guess the only art is in that bubble they all live in in la la land and might play someday on stage as a fighter in a ring or politics, which they act out much like a child in real life.

According to Streep, ‘the performance that sank hooks into her heart,’ was when Trump allegedly imitated a disabled reporter.  I say allegedly because Trump furiously denies he was mocking the reporter’s disability.

However, there was hypocrisy in Streep’s own past behavior by using this example to knock the president-elect.

During the 2003 Oscars Streep lept to her feet and gave child rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation as Best Director for The Pianist.

There are some that believe Streep bears a resemblance to Glenn Close — but the pedantic one in her latest performance has proven she is no Glenn Close.
