Washington DC (Storch Report) — As the polls closed and the results were coming in for the mid-term elections on the evening of November 4, President Obama realized the inevitable – his policies along with his ego of the past six years were going down in defeat along with his Party’s control of the Senate.
It was becoming unbearable to deal with for the President and he decided to go to bed and deal with it in the morning, although he did fear a nightmare while he was getting into his pj’s.
He dosed off and sure enough a voice came out of the darkness and said, “It is time for you to take care of business.”
Obama responded, “Who is this, is it God, Allah, Buddha?”
“It is not important who I am, it’s important who you are.”
“Well,” Obama said, “I’m the President of the United States, I’m the guy that was elected by everyone.”
“If that is the case”, the deep resounding voice said, “then act like it, it is time for you to take care of business.”
“Well, I am taking care of business, my way,” Obama said.
“That is precisely the problem, ” the voice said.
“Did the election turn out to be a wave for the Republicans?”
“It was more like a Tsunami.”
“You mean the Republicans had a good night?”
“No, it’s more like you had a bad night.”
“You must hold a press conference tomorrow afternoon and speak to the people in a conciliatory tone.” the voice said.
“Conciliatory, I don’t think the media is going to be very kind to me, why should I be conciliatory. . . I did nothing wrong?”
“You must unify not a divide, you must learn to compromise to work together for the people, that is what your role should be. You spoke of ‘Hope and Change’ when you were first elected six years ago. It is I that gives people Hope, but as for Change it is very difficult for those, like you, who are set in their ways to change.”
“What are you, a Republican?” Obama responded.
Obama awakened rather startled and disturbed. It was daylight and he grabbed for the TV clicker and put on Fox News. Sure enough, it was a Tsunami.
That afternoon he held a press conference to address the mid-term elections and said, “I’m the President of the United States . . . the guy that was elected by everyone.” He then followed by threatening ‘executive orders’ for his remaining two years in office.
