Washington DC (Storch Report) — President Obama is alleged to be exploring plans to bring non-US citizens infected with Ebola to the United States for treatment, but the administration is denying such claims.
Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News that his office received “information from within the administration” that such plans are being developed.
If there are no such plans, where did this memo come from? (Read Memo}
Only American Ebola patients have been brought back to the US for treatment from West Africa.
Goodlatte warned to Fox that expanding that policy could put the country at more risk.
President Obama, as has been the case with every major issue confronting this administration, has led from behind with bumbling, fumbling policies.
His policies have been unclear and inconsistent, whether it be Benghazi, IRS, ISIS, Fast & Furious or now Ebola.
Instead of stopping entry into the US at its source with a quarantine of 21 days in West Africa, Obama has allowed the deadly virus to enter the US. Meanwhile our very own military who has served in West Africa is being quarantined in Italy for this period before being allowed to reenter the US.
Obama has pressured those states that are now imposing a quarantine from travelers coming into the US from Ebola hot zones from doing so, but to no avail. Governors appear to have more common sense than the president.
A State Department official said Tuesday that they’re only talking about letting other countries use US planes to transport Ebola patients to their own home countries.
They said, “allegations to the contrary are completely false.”
Common sense should tell the president that this idea is profoundly stupid.
However, there doesn’t seem to be anyone around the president with common sense to inform him this is not a good idea. And we know Obama is missing this genetic gene.
