I'm glad you finally found a topic that you exhibit some knowledge with-toilets, and all things related.
There was a time when there were separate dorms for male and females. That is as obsolete as the Model T, so why is it so unimaginable to have two gender bathrooms in two gender dorms? This is strictly a generational thing. Young people accept it as natural while older generations have trouble accepting many things that involve cultural change. I was at a conference last week where Tony Blair was the speaker. He said that the hardest thing he faced as Prime Minister was instituting change. When he instituted areas of change against strong advice, he said "it was hell', but when the change was in place he wished he did more. So it's a human resistance to most kinds of change that occurs. Young people have no trouble with same sex or biracial marriage that older people can't accept.
It's not very unusual today for women to use men's bathrooms in theaters or other venues where the womens' line is unreasonably long. Finally, in the military where today men and women are placed in close contact the use of bathrooms is incidental. The Israeli army has been integrated by sex for many years with no adverse effects.
Not all change has to be positive but embrace those that make sense with no downside.

I guess I've been called worse.

How come your comments sound so much like Bob Beckels?

I thought George Will's comment on Obama's over use of pronouns such as 'I and Me' was right on.

Was Trump really talking about Will's swept-over hair-do or his?

And those little glasses, we're they like mine?

I see from your recent articles that you've morphed into an almost complete revisionist. We all are aware of historical revisionists who deny historical facts to arrive at false conclusions.
I'll only deal with the Bin Laden affair. The republicans are acting like a bunch of whimpie crybabies. If Bush had gotten Bin Laden what kind of non- ending spectacle would we be subjected to? When he didn't accomplish anything he dressed up in a flight costume, landed on an aircraft carrier, said we prevailed, including a "Mission Accomplished " banner. The strings of the Fox cable marionettes would have had to be reinforced in order to withstand extreme frenzy if Bush nailed Bin Laden
On August 6, 2001 the CIA delivered to Bush at his Texas ranch a report titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US". This was 36 days before 9/11. Bush and his brain trust decided to ignore it. It was "nothing new". After 9/11 what did Bush do? He invaded Iraq who had little if anything to do with the Twin Towers. The 9/11 planning was done in Afghanistan with a Saudi footprint. Bush did have a personal vendetta to settle with Iraq, concerning his father and with prodding from Cheney he settled it. After all, look at what the Afghans did to the Russians; Saudi Arabia, that's a completely different story. Saudi oil and Saudi royal family ties with the Bush family presented a dilemma, not to mention the Bin Laden/ Bush oil business ties.
Still in 2011, Delta Force had Bin Laden in Torra Borra and requested an OK to move in. Bush refused and Delta Force blamed Bush for Bin Laden's escape.
Near the end of Bush's term in office he stated that Bin Laden was not that important and wasn't a significant factor in planning.
One final word on Cheney. He probably was more responsible for urging Bush to invade Iraq than anyone. How many draft deferments did Cheney have to avoid going to Vietnam? Yet this brave war hero had no qualms about sending our troops into two wars that resulted in the terrible price so many of these young people paid.
Since you mentioned George Will, I'll quote Donald Trump. "I think he's a totally overrated fool. I think this guy is so overrated. I don't think he's really smart with the little glasses and hair swept to the side. I think he's a totally overrated pundit."

Yes indeed the past certainly did show more class than the present. Just had this conversation with a colleague about the days of air travel when flying was "Sunday best". Dad wore a suit, mothers wore their best coat with gloves and the children wore their best too. Impeccable manners always. And in return we received real food and beverages served in/on proper glass and china. The flight attendants were beautiful and gave preflight instructions fluently in three languages. And the best part was receiving a wing pin from the flight captain with the airline logo!!! We were treated like little princesses. Today...not so much:(

Print media has a life, a long life. Have it today, put it away and look back years later and it's completely intact. However, a computer virus or bug in software can ruin all the data in your puter. It is certainly easier to find yesterday's newspaper article than it is to find where you put a file in your 500GB or 1TB hard disk.

My 45 and 33rpm records will always play when I want, my photos hang gracefully on my wall, but I could loose all my thousands of electronic songs and photos if my hard disk crashes. But in a few seconds I can search and find the benefits of eating broccoli on the web.

I guess there is a home for both. As the saying goes "A sword can't sew and a needle can't kill".

The sadest part of this is that this false prophet is still so popular with the dumb and uninformed. He counting on the ignorance of those who don't understand the end game. Power of the executive branch of our government for enough time to complete the mission of collapsing it from the inside as cloward and pivin suggested when the SDS was formed. If he gets 4 more years he may get it done!
