It really doesn’t make much difference whether it was a decade ago or yesterday, things don’t stay the same for long anymore.
President Obama didn’t give the nation the hope promised them, but did give them change, but not change for the better.
The hypocrisy, lack of transparency and duplicity within President Obama’s administration is appalling.
There is not enough of what was, whether it is politically correct or not by today’s standards, for we all understand the past is prologue, but the present has been built on the foundation of the past.
Once the world was all consumed and concerned with what was known as the ‘cold war’ (1945 to 1991) and the rivalry between two nuclear powers, Russia and the United States.
It is becoming increasingly disturbing to observe the comments coming out of the White House about the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests; they are for the most part supportive and compassionate to the cause, despite deaths, property damage, laws being broken and thousands of arrests taking place across the country.
After watching football, basketball and hockey between the old and new year I have come to the conclusion that sports of today is more entertainment, lacking the style and class of yesterday which represented achievement on the field of play along with humility in winning and losing.
The political pundits are now out in force dissecting the Republican presidential field on the basis of what they say and have said, the policies they espouse, how well they nail their opponents in debates or ads with gotcha comments, but few are talking openly about whether they look presidential or not.
There is a consensus across party lines, pundits, detractors that Newt Gingrich, the leading Republican presidential nominee according to the latest polls, is the brightest of the bright, a historian, great debater, professorial to the point he puts down anyone in his presence by his presence, cocky, and not very likable.
Along the I-4 corridor in Central Florida, some families are living without addresses, the homeless centers are full, school buses have changed their routes to pick up kids living in cheap motels, and some families are living in their cars and using bathroom facilities at gas stations to relieve themselves and stay clean
