It was reported this evening exclusively by Fox News that the former Obama associated ACORN group is playing a behind the scenes role in the ‘Occupy’ movement.
Coincidentally, the Washington Times reported that an attorney for an affiliate of the disgraced group ACORN lobbied the White House in behalf of Project Vote last month.
Coincident? A conspiracy theory?
I don’t think so.
I am sure President Obama who promised ‘transparency’ but wants a regulation enforced that allows the Department of Justice to lie on Freedom of Information requests, and who has expressed empathy for the ‘frustrations’ of the ‘Occupy’ movement would be more than glad to step up to the teleprompters and explain these apparent and obvious paper trail links.
According to the Washington Times, attorney Estele H. Rogers, director of advocacy at ACORN-affiliated Project Vote met with senior aide to Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett and with Van Jones’ former chief of staff.
A watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Justice Department demanding copies of all correspondence between department officials and Ms. Rogers, a former attorney for ACORN. If the ‘lie’ regulation is upheld, the DOJ could say the documents don’t exist, even if they do. Apparently this policy is now in place and executed, although not codified.
Meanwhile Fox News is reporting that the former New York office for ACORN, the disbanded community activist group, is playing a “key role in the self-proclaimed ‘leaderless’ Occupy Wall Street movement, organizing ‘guerrilla’ protest events and hiring door-to-door canvassers to collect money under the banner of various causes while spending it on protest-related activities.”
Only a few columns ago we said, “Occupy Wall Street is not a spontaneous movement, it was planned and orchestrated just as Saul Alinisky wrote, and Obama studied, in the book, “Rules For Radicals.”
As background it should be noted that ACORN was an organization infamous for massive voter fraud and that at one time employed President Obama, under a unit called Project Vote.
Again, it is somewhat ironic that Ms Rogers visit to the White House came a few days after Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign named its new get-out-the-vote effort “Project Vote.” As the Washington Times noted, “The name choice is puzzling because the Obama campaign spent much of 2008 trying to distance the president from his history with Project Vote and ACORN.”
The “Occupy” movement, as the former ACORN organization and its subsequent spin-offs, is a key plank of the Cloward-Piven Strategy that seeks to force change by provoking crises and it has long been used by community organizers, as Obama was, to elect redistributionist of wealth politicians.
The “Occupy” movement, now infiltrated by Socialists, Marxists, Communists and Progressives, was never a ‘flash’ event rising from the grass roots of discontent – it was a planned, orchestrated counter punch to the Tea Party with cookie links to the White House.
Obama knows how to play hard ball when it comes to a campaign. Too bad, he can’t put these same talents to being a President.
