I had the audacity to call Donald Trump the hustler, huckster, flack, one that threatened to run for the presidency three times and each time as predicted, pulled out; President Obama called Trump a ‘sideshow and carnival barker’ while defending his place of birth, only to find that they both have something in common – hypocrisy!
Hardly a surprise, I never wanted to see either one in office. Obama, who more than once in his first two year’s in office claimed he had more important things to do than to defend his birthplace. I wonder what that was, Obamacare? But now he is his very own ‘sideshow and carnival barker’ he accused Trump of being, which is beneath the gravitas of the office he holds.
But he never got that in the first place, nor the ‘exceptional’ country he is serving.
When trying to put the ‘birther’ issue to rest after a strong challenge by Trump he said, “We do not have time for this kind of silliness,” when releasing his long form birth certificate. He went on to say, “We’ve got better stuff to do.”
Yet today, Obama’s presidential campaign started selling limited-edition “Made in the USA” tee shirts, coffee cups with a photo of Obama and a copy of his long form birth certificate imprinted, a rather tawdry promotional campaign for one that’s ‘got better stuff to do.’ “Wear your support for this campaign” was the message.
When ABC News asked the reason for this, a campaign official said that despite the president’s release last month of his long-form birth certificate, conservative fact-challenged author Jerome Corsi’s book “Where’s the Birth Certificate? the Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President” was published this week.
A Gallop poll released last week according to ABC indicate that 65% of those polled say the president “definitely” or “probably” was born in the US. Thirteen percent of Americans say the president “definitely” or “probably” was born in another country. Twenty percent say they don’t know enough to form an opinion. There are still a lot of doubters out there and very frankly Obama did his best right from the outset to create them.
There are those still seriously questioning the long form birth certificate Obama issued, indicating there were changes made to this form that the White House had to get special permission from the State of Hawaii to release.
Despite the Bin Laden kill, where Obama got a three point bump in the polls, he is back in his poll numbers to where he was before the kill.
Obama says he ‘doesn’t have time for this kind of silliness,’ but I ask how ‘silly’ is this campaign to sell undignified tee shirts and coffee cups for a $25 or more donation, unless you really need the money?
