A local Texas reporter got his chance to interview the President yesterday and was reprimanded, or was it scolded, for doing his job.
It was a glimpse of the presidents’ soul, the prickly side, a telling moment.
He was snippy, all because the reporter did not allow the president to finish the answer to his questions before interrupting him with another.
One question had to do with Obama loosing Texas in the last election. Obama said Texas was a conservative state and he only lost by a few points. The reporter said it was 10 points.
The reporter wanted to know if Obama was involved in the decision not to send one of the retired Shuttles to Houston.
Obama said he had nothing to do with the decision, claiming it was not political, but was visibly angry over the question.
The reporter was Brad Watson of WFFA, Dallas.
It was probably his first and last interview with Obama, perhaps because Obama was coming off of a bad day which he didn’t react to well either.
After all Standard & Poor’s just took the US rating from ‘stable’ to ‘negative’, and Obama was in the attack mode like a Pitt Bull.
He snapped back that the statement was ‘political.’
Political perhaps, because his statement last week suggesting more taxes for the wealthy, to deal with the deficit he created with his stimulus package to create jobs and improve the economy, failed.
The short fuse was exposed, the hair shirt is non-existent and we are left with a president that excels in campaigning, but not in governing.
Obama has become abrasive and irritating as a result of the crisis he is facing, along with a faltering approval rating as he approaches his bid for reelection in 2012.

I find it amazing that people don’t expect any president to act like any other human would in a given situation. Of course they lash out; the surprising thing is that they manage to keep their cool, in public, as much as they do.
Of course the economy has improved. The stimulus package has been a part of the improvement. The challenge is how and when to start reigning it in, but so far the Fed has been on the mark.
A significant part of our deficit is the two wars and extravagant drug plan that Junior gave us. No thought of how to pay for them. No doubt the dems have aggravated the problem, but let’s be just a little honest about the causes.
Was that your car with the Trump bumper sticker?
Two wars? How about three, one of which Jr., had nothing to do with. My car is too modern to have a bumper, least of all a sticker.
You really are living the American dream. A modern bumperless car. My goodness! What more can one aspire to?
And here I am with my old Studebaker Hawk with a dangling tailpipe. It’s a good thing it still has the rear bumper so I can tie up that loose tailpipe.
But what will Trump do with all those bumper stickers? Maybe he can use them for wallpaper in his Trump Hollywood on S. Ocean Drive. Still looks very empty.
Studebaker Hawk was a fine car. A dangling tailpipe is better than a dangling chad. At least you have a place to put your stickers for change.
