There are those progressives of today such as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and those of yesterday, such as George Bernard Shaw, that believe, and believed, that elections shouldn’t matter that much because we all have ‘shared values’ — try and tell that to the birth of the Tea Party, a Conservative or a true member of the Republican Party.
In case you hadn’t noticed during the past week some significant things happened, culminating today when Standard & Poor’s downgraded the United States rating from ‘stable’ to ‘negative’ . The Dow plummeted 140 points.
But Obama’s Treasury Department said the US economy was fine.
Nancy Pelosi said ‘elections didn’t matter that much, because we all have shared values.’
Van Jones advocates shifting power from adults to the youth of America and not to listen to Uncle Joe on Thanksgiving Day when he brings up Fox News.
Al Gore echo’s the sentiments advocating that the youth of today should teach the parents saying, ‘older people don’t know what they are talking about.’
Bill Ayers the radical terrorist of yesterday said he had no remorse or guilt for his terrorist actions of yesterday that resulted in destruction of public property and deaths.
The AFL-CIO booed the National Anthem in Madison Wis., over the weekend.
The average price for a gallon of gas across the nation reached $3.83.
Food costs are soaring: Ground Beef is up 11%; Milk 6.1% and Cheese 12%.
And Corn is up 100%. And what’s the commonality in ground beef, milk and cheese - Cows. And what do cows eat, you got it, Corn.
Is there an endless supply of Corn – No! The Corn supply is at a 15 year low. The production of ethanol for cars, an Obama initiative, is taking 40% of the Corn supply.

But Obama is exchanging food for fuel.
And, all of this is taking place while the Obama administration restricts oil drilling just about everywhere in the US where the resources are more than plentiful, but he wants to make an alliance with Brazil, who is in cahoots with George Soros, to buy oil from this Communist driven country.
Meanwhile, Obama delivers a partisan campaign speech, in which his Vice President, Joe Biden, falls asleep; calling to raise the taxes on the wealthy, that pay all the taxes anyway, on his goal to wealth redistribution.
Then Obama announces today that he is reneging on his deal with the GOP to eliminate his cadre of czars. “The Donald” will revel in this one – Obama doesn’t know how to make a deal, least of all keep one.
Over the weekend Treasury Secretary Geithner, appearing on Sunday Talk shows, assured everyone that the Congress would approve a deficit budget.
The Kool Aid drinking progressives need rehab; if they think for one moment that they have ‘shared values’ with the likes of the Tea Party, Conservatives or Republicans.
There is no question that S&P sent a wake up call to the White House, but no matter how large the ears, they didn’t hear it.
The only way they will get the message is when the public votes them out of office, and then an election will matter to the true ‘shared values’ of a nation.
