There are some foreign leaders who have called on President Obama to return the Nobel Peace Prize he accepted in 2009 since ordering the Libya attack.  When he accepted the award he was involved in two wars, now he is involved in three, but refuses to call the attack on Libya a war, it’s something like UN resolution 1973.

Nice try!

He really thinks the American people are not only dumb, but ignorant.

In an interview with CNN from El Salvador he said Americans “don’t see any contradiction” in him ordering an attack on Libya to make sure “people aren’t butchered because of a dictator who wants to cling to power.”

“When I received that award, I specifically said there was an irony because I was already dealing with two wars,” Obama said to CNN.  “So I am accustomed to this contradiction of being both a commander-in-chief but also someone who aspires to peace.”

It is no wonder that he want’s out of this war faster than he got in and refuses to label it a war, much like he refuses to label terrorism . . . terrorism.

I want to tell you a simple fact: when the United States drops missiles on Libya and interferes with another country’s civil war and our military receives return fire – that’s war; whether or not the President is acting on a United Nations resolution.

President Obama is responsible for upholding the Constitution of the United States, not some impotent global organization that sits on land it can’t pay for in Manhattan passing some kind of resolution that it can not enforce itself.

He said in this interview he is focused on ensuring that Libyans can “llive out their own aspirations.”

“We’re not invading a country, we’re not acting alone – were acting under a mandate issued by the United Nations Security Council in an unprecedented fashion and with unprecedented speed,” Obama said.

Did he check to see if the UN resolution was in sync with the US Constitution before he launched his attack?  Did he get the approval of Congress?  I don’t think so.

“I think the American people don’t see any contradiction in somebody who cares about peace also wanting to make sure that people aren’t butchered because of a dictator who wants to cling to power,” Obama  said.

Well, how the hell would he know this when he was in South America on a junket vacation with his family on taxpayer dollars when he launched a third war?

I never thought much of prizes.  I always thought they were money making ventures for some organization awarding the award, that people with big egos lobbied for, like Jimmy Carter – and his lobbying efforts paid off – he got one; then there was that environmental guy that created the information highway called the Internet – Al Gore who also got one.

I think President Obama was actually shocked when he got one, because he did nothing to deserve it and was almost humbled – if that’s possible – when he accepted it for being in two wars at the time – one he called a good one and the other one he didn’t agree with but inherited.

But now the one who aspires to peace launches a third war in the short time he has been in office and defends his award of the Nobel Peace Prize he received the first year he was in office.

When he said all of what he said in the CNN interview about the American people not seeing any contradiction in what he did in Libya and him receiving the Nobel Peace Prize ,  I hope he wasn’t speaking in my behalf.

For after all, I am an American people!
