It is a sad day for America when President Barack Hussein Obama used the Constitution this evening to signal his powerful endorsement in support of building a Mosque blocks from Ground Zero while his policies and programs do everything to erode the very document he cites, and fails to uphold, in bills he has signed on health care reform, financial reform, bailouts and takeovers and failing to uphold the laws that are on the books with respect to immigration.

It is pure mendacity.

It is unadulterated insensitivity.

Yes, it smacks of being ‘anti-American’ as was voiced this evening by a first responder to 9/11.

The issue he took on tonight was one he has dodged for months, calling it a local issue.

But at this evening’s Ramadan dinner at the White House he made a grand stand statement: “Let me be clear: as a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country,” Obama said.

He went on, “That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” Obama said.

“This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable.”

Yes, Mr. President this is America – something most Americans would like to remind you of each and every day in upholding the laws of the Constitution, rather than using left wing tactics to erode the laws of our land.

To add insult to injury, the Obama administration has sent, on tax payer dollars, Iman Rauf the head of this Mosque on a junket to the Middle East to promote how well the Muslim Religion works in the United States.  Yes, this is the same Imam that said the US brought 9/11 on itself and supports Hamas, a Middle East terrorist group, designated as such by the US government.

Is the Imam and other mosque leaders willing to stand in public to denounce the Islamic Shariah teachings that promote killing apostates, beating women, and stoning adulterers?

The New York Daily News reported,”Obama felt he had to address the issue head on, siding with the Constitution while urging the Muslim community to remember that Ground Zero is hallowed ground.

History, however, shows that it is not uncommon for Muslims to attempt to demonstrate its victory near the site of same by building a Mosque.  It is classic, with deceptive motives, tactics and morals.

Rep. Pete King(R-LI) said, “The right and moral thing for President Obama to have done was to urge Muslim leaders to respect the families of those who died and move their mosque away from Ground Zero.  Unfortunately, the President caved into political correctness.”

One might reflect upon history in relation to 9/11, which is still most horrifically vivid in Americans’ minds, and that is the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese.  I don’t recall seeing any Buddhist Temples near this very sacred place?

I think Obama’s Muslim roots have surfaced.

PS:  In the 6th graph of this opinion piece, Obama is quoted as saying, “as a citizen” . . .  well many are still looking for proof of this.  It’s easy to debunk this rumor Mr Presidnet.  Provide the media with a legitimate birth certificate and put this mundane issue to rest, for after all, what are we going to do about it if your not?
