The articulate, attractive Elisabeth Hasselbeck appearing on Sean Hannity’s show this evening called it as it was in reviewing President Obama’s appearance on The View today, “it was his first campaign stop for 2012.”
And with the puff balls served up by the other four liberal ladies of ‘The View’ , it is no wonder that Obama said at the end of the Wednesday taped show, that “I enjoyed it.”
Hasselbeck fired off the only questions of substance when asking the president about the divisiveness in America. We thought you were going to bring us together. This is more like the “Divided States of America,” she said.
Later in the show she asked about the stimulus program and the ‘saved jobs’ he keeps touting. Obama used his basketball acumen on both questions and did a fake dodging the questions to get back to more puff ball feeds from the liberal majority of The View.
Hasselbeck said she wanted to see “more grit and Angst” from the president, but it wasn’t there.
Hannity said he was surprised that Obama wasn’t invited to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding and his response didn’t seem to be credible.
Obama said it was a sensible move by the Clintons, since having one president at a wedding is bad enough but two would be chaos. “The secret service would have to open all the presents,” he points out.
Hasselbeck said in response, “You can’t imagine what it would be to be there if you haven’t been invited.”
One of the more benign questions served up to Obama was whether he knew who Snooki was? He said he didn’t. Yet, at the White House Correspondents dinner he mentioned her, of course reading off a teleprompter with words prepared by his staff. Snooki, of course is the star of the reality TV show on MTV called Jersey Shore.
Hasselbeck is articulate, witty and on target when allowed to escape from the hen house of The View.
