I must admit there is a lot of garbage on the Internet, most of which comes from left wing vitriolic, petty, Alinsky-style Obama-like personal attacks often from California flakes spewing forth sophomoric writings from the left and it is sad; but when it comes from an alleged relative that calls me ‘Uncle’  I find it outrageously offensive.  You see it is the ‘Uncle’ that I am offended about, because I am not her ‘Uncle’ – I used to be her friend, even though I knew where she was coming from and despite our political differences, but unfortunately she doesn’t understand that those differences should be respected; nevertheless she could not contain her civility.

Well, I guess it’s all relative – or perhaps not so relative.

Although I was clearly identified in her writings on Facebook and her husband’s blogs, and described as owning a beachfront home on the Gulf of Mexico, and being an East Coast conservative ‘upper crust’ pretentious person wearing heavy nautical jewelery – notice the Alinsky style? – I will not stoop to the level of such left wing  attacks, by identifying the usual suspects.

But it is sad what has taken place in this nation, even in an alleged relative relationship, how divisive this nation has become and why civility can not prevail without personal attacks because one does not respect someone else’s opinion.

When personal attacks invade rational political debates as is the trend in the Obama Administration, it is nothing more than a power play that first begins with socialism, which we see taking place in America today leading to what we have seen evolve in Europe yesterday – Marxism.

While the powerful left wing achievers – with money – deliver messages to the underachievers of the middle class of promises for a better tomorrow because the government is going to take care of them, somehow it never seems to happen.  It didn’t happen in FDR’s days of the ‘New Deal’ and it’s not going to happen in Obama’s days of ‘Bail Outs,’ and spending this nation into bankruptcy.

Oh, they can use Green, Energy, Environment, Immigration, Banking, Auto Industry, Wars, Obesity, Health Care and play to the changing demographics of the nation, while not upholding the laws of immigration, but for what purpose – governmental power and money for those in power.

The left wants to demonize business, whether it be big or small, yet it is small business that provides the most jobs – and where are the jobs today?  It is capitalism that has made this country the envy of the world.

Yet the left wants to destroy it.

That is the question that voters of tomorrow must ask themselves.  Immigrants want to come into this country, not for what they see today, but what they saw yesterday.  For that is the hope.

If we remember who we are, where we’ve been, we will know where we are going.

I know that a Country is nothing but an extension of oneself, but we need to begin to remember where we’ve been and who we are.

Yes, I guess it’s all relative, but not for some of my alleged relatives.
