Yes, it’s the modern vernacular that today points out, ‘what goes around comes around.’ It used to be called history and perhaps learning from the past. But we don’t seem to learn very well from the past when the pols from 1773 didn’t understand the people in America any better than they do today in 2010.
It is interesting to note that the pols in 1773 were British and their colony in America located in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain as a result of colonists that boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor.
The Tea Act was opposed by British America because it violated their right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives. It eventually resulted in a revolution and of course you know the end result. And, if you don’t, you are not an American citizen, and perhaps are here illegally.
Now if we were to do a quick flash forward to today we would find a modern Tea Party reflecting the Boston Tea Party of yesterday that is looking for the same thing, fiscal responsibility in government spending and representation.
Today’s Tea Party is made up of people representing Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and all ethnic races not, supporting any political parties, nor individuals.
There is no national leader, just individuals on a local level voicing their request for government fiscal responsibility.
The threat to the mainstream politicians is that the movement is gaining momentum, as it had in the past, and therefore it had to be denigrated.
And so the left wing liberal controlled administration portrayed the Tea Party as being laced with racism and hate and of course the liberal media attempted to present stories and images of same.
However, as momentum for the movement gained in public support and vote seemed to be in jeopardy for the power in play, the administration said to the Tea Party, ‘were on your side.’
Yes, it’s all about the Pols, and power.
This move by today’s liberals is reminiscent and somewhat surprising of the liberal-leaning Hollywood and their very own depiction in 1941 of the flick “Meet John Doe.
It stared Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck. It was typical of today’s Tea Party movement and ‘John Doe Clubs’ were formed. When it was discovered the power that it held, the pols tried to take control of a grass roots movement of people suffering the aftermath of great depression.
It was a movie directed by Frank Capra and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Story.
And so you see from history, the Pols, whether portrayed realistically, or in liberal Hollywood in the 1940′s, were all after the same goal – votes to gain power.
The Obama Administration is repeating history, but taking it one step further to gain power with a devious motive. It is employing the Alinsky philosophy to destroy a nation for the purpose of wealth redistribution employing fiscal irresponsibility – what is happening in Greece -with US bailout money – is an example of the domino’s falling in the US. And, God forbid the creation of a world order. The people of American should not allow this to happen in the United States via the Obama spending program and the misguided policies on health care, cap and trade, control of finance, auto industry, banking, and the continued failed policies of this administration in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The people of America should take its historical stance, and not invite Obama and his liberal misguided administration to our Tea Party.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI just came back from a short trip, and I see you had a question for me on one of your previous articles. I’ll do my best to respond as soon as possible, but for the meantime how can I join the Librarian party? If they charge too much for overdue books forget it.
Didn’t you learn in journalism school that honest journalists don’t adjust their copy after it’s printed. Shameful.
Obviously you didn’t go to J-school. Stories are updated all the time. But thanks for pointing out the typo. If I wasn’t such a stand-up guy I might have blamed it on spell check.
Legitimate journalists print retractions to acknowledge errors or inaccuracies. No, I didn’t go to J-school. I think you are a stand- up guy because you express your thoughts, as misguided as they may be. But I think you could better make use of a fact check instead of a spell check.
Retractions or corrections are not used for typos of a word, unless it’s someone’s name or a person misidentified. They are used to correct a misstated fact. But then again, I have you for that.
