Good news today is news that’s better than expected but not as good as yesterday. DS

A signal that President Obama is in dire straits on his signature legislation of health care reform came today when he granted an exclusive interview to Bret Baier of Fox News in an uninterrupted interview tomorrow with a network his administration previously said was, ‘not really a news station.’

This move clearly demonstrates the hypocrisy, disingenuous behavior of words and action, duplicity and mendacity of this administration to the American people.

But more importantly, if the President and his controlling Party has the votes – then put it up for a vote rather than groveling, eating humble pie on Fox to reach-out to those the administration perceives to be not only the enemy, but the voice of the GOP, and making a last ditch effort to gain support from independents and conservatives.

Yes, it is a duplicitous Chicago-style political maneuver using silver tongue words of disbelief on a ‘non-legitimate news station’ delivering one message and behind the scenes instructing House Dem leader Nancy Pelosi to pursue a ‘deem it pass’ strategy, which means the legislature would vote on one thing while passing another, called the Senate health bill, and then going to reconciliation to justify a rational for giving the people what they don’t want, but what the administration thinks they need , but don’t know it.

‘Deem it pass’ will not fly in the court of public opinion for it means the legislature will be passing a bill without anyone voting for it.  Yes, this is unadulterated mendacity. The public will not accept this style of government and come the mid-term election we will see an outpouring of the electorate the likes of which never happened before sending the Democratic control of this administration into exile.

Fox News said Baier will discuss with the president the policy, politics and head counting behind efforts to pass Obama’s signature domestic priority.  The two will also talk about other key issues facing the Obama administration and the country.

The people are interested in the process – the democratic process under the laws of our constitution – not in Chicago-style trickery.

The interview will take place Wednesday on Special Report at 6 PM ET on Fox News Channel.
