Yes, yesterday looks so much better than my tomorrows. I truly hope your tomorrows, from your perspective, look better than mine. Allow me to tell you why my tomorrows don’t look so good:
- President Obama is in the wrong place for any time in our Country, past, present or future in our Democracy.
- He is a man with an ideology that doesn’t fit the likes of our Constitution.
- Yes, he is a socialist that surrounds himself with Communists, Marxists and left wingers. He is a Progressive, but perhaps more than that, his end run is yet to be determined
- He openly admits that he is for wealth redistribution, which clearly is juxtaposed to capitalism.
- While our job loss in the US is more around the figure of 17% while the administration claims it is at 9.7% , Obama wants to ram through health care reform spending trillions, rather than finding jobs for Americans.
- He clearly ignores the voice of the people with political spin, on multiple issues.
- The populist believed his voice of ‘change’, but it was proven to be pure mendacity. His popularity polls certainly prove this statement. He is at the lowest of lows.
- Yes, he inherited a bad economical situation and rightfully should have a period of political exemption from blame, but that period has long since expired based upon policies of spending..
- It is long past the time for Obama to step up to the plate and provide Americans with policies that correct the current job and economic plight.
- Spending is not the answer, Obama doesn’t understand this. It is not part of the community organizing Alinsky philosophy that Obama follows.
- With respect to foreign policy his ratings are no better than his dismal ratings in the US.
- He didn’t believe we should be in Iraq, nor did I, I don’t believe we should be in Afghanistan why are we still fighting battles that he doesn’t believe in?
- On a military front he is diminishing our strength as a power – a fatal move to the strength of the defense of our country.
- We are a great country – on a global basis he denigrates our achievements and betrays us as a savior of many European countries through several great wars.
- He is bent on attacking our seniors, because of the savings they have achieved, through the principles of our constitution and the capitalism it allows by proposing to steal seniors’ savings by forcing mandatory IRA and 401k investments into US Treasury notes to pay off the national deficit. The country is going bankrupt, they will not be able to pay off their obligations.
Through the prime of my time, I lived through President Eisenhower’s administration. The economy was fine, employment was on target, there were eight years of peace, foreign relations were fine and we were prospering as a nation.
I can’t think of a better period, why can’t this administration shoot for this objective?
I can’t help but think that yesterday looks better than today, or tomorrow.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI can certainly agree with your synopsis of the past and present and can respect your thoughts on this administration, however I believe that as a culture we are changing. Society is loosing it’s values and morality. Looking back to the Eisenhower years, I believe that in general the quality of the human spirit could be so much more respected compared to today. Look at the ACORN group of today! Then look back at the “WASPS” of World War II that are now being recognized by our government. What a difference! Would any women do what those women did today? We are, as a society, falling apart at the seems. The Roman Empire fell at a time when they were the most advanced culture of the world and here we are in the same position close to collapse. OBAMA isn’t the cause, he is the effect of a changing society. We need to put structure and morality back into our culture, our leaders, into democrats and republicans before it’s too late. I don’t even believe a national third party would make any difference at all. The young voters that voted for Obama are wondering why they even bothered to vote and you have to wonder if they’re right. So it wasn’t Obama or Bush it is our Culture of deceit, exploitation, waste and money and it is that that is leading this country. to it’s demise.
I agree with your evaluation of our society and its culture. We should try to capture the best of the values and morality of the past while also incorporating the best of the current generation’s thoughts and ideas. Where I disagree is that, ‘Obama is the effect of a changing society.’ It was he that used the word ‘change’ effectively in his campaign for the office he holds. However,I believe, the change that he portrayed during the campaign, was not the change the people voted for, understood, or was promised. The change the people voted for was what they were being promised by Obama as compared to what the Bush administration delivered. That was the striking contrast and the opportunity an administratively inexperienced individual took advantage of. The difference here should be evaluated in substance, not a philosophical diminution of the constitution nor a denigration of the exceptionalism of the United States, both of which Obama has executed during his first year in office. His motivations were suspect from the outset, but the mainstream media, which is leftist, fell in love with him. But today the people are seeing policies and a philosophy that represents the president’s background. The teachings of Cloward-Piven of Columbia University and Saul Alinsky, author of Rules For Radicals, both representing wealth redistribution, big government, socialism and Marxist principles – all of which are anti capitalism. Nothing exemplifies this better than Health Care Reform which this president is bent on ramming through even though the people don’t want it and we don’t have the money to pay for it. He has surrounded himself with advisers that represent this philosophy. No, I don’t think he represents the effect of a changing society. O is at an all time low in today’s polls. He is a one-term president.
