I don’t think there is any question that Obama’s goals in relation to big government’s takeover of all aspects of our lives are so strong he is willing to throw members of his own party under the bus to achieve his Alinsky-driven motives.
Nothing more clearly demonstrated this than his performance before his self-created health care Summit, where he took up most of the time stuttering his way to his knowledge of health care. The teleprompter was missing from the scene.
While the Republicans beat the Democrats up soundly in point by point on the issues, the scene was controlled by the President who set the stage for his objective – giving himself and the Dems 50% more time to speak than he gave the GOP, and he justified this by saying that, “I’m the President”.
Well, so you are and you have now given ‘we the people’ a clear idea of where you are coming from.
Arrogance and mendacity explain the behavior.
He knew where he was going before ever calling the Summit. He knew the GOP could not reject the invite. It was a staged event with a goal in mind – pass my signature legislation – health care.
There was no sign of bipartisanship or compromise, no give and take and the Dems, I think were surprised by the GOP’s knowledge of the issues on the subject and the sound ideas they presented.
But you see that was superfluous – the objective was set in stone before the Summit.
Obama wanted to present to the people that there was a significant chasm between the two parties and that he now was going to proceed as the leader of the nation by ramming a bill through that represents 1/6 th of the national budget with a one party dictatorship because they are in control.
Yes, it was classic community organizing tactics from the Obama playbook provided by Saul Alinsky and his book, ‘Rules For Radicals.’ Alinskiy was a self-proclaimed Marxist.
It is true that Obama is throwing his party under the bus – because they are up for re-election this year – and he is not up for reelection until 2012.
This all comes for the Democrats after Obama’s coattails failed twice in Copenhagen on the Olympics in Chicago, global warming, two losses of governors posts in Virginia and New Jersey and loosing the Senate Democratic seat in Massachusetts.
Obama’s progressiveness has not fared well for him in his first year in office. But the arrogance kicks in with the attitude of ‘Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.’
From this perspective, I’ve seen nothing but pure mendacity.
