While we are at an all time high in the loss of jobs, houses, income, 401k retirement plans and hope for the future the Obama administration partakes in sophomoric games.

Today White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs thought it appropriate to poke fun at Sarah Palin, mocking the former vice presidential candidate’s decision to use her hand as a notepad while addressing the National Tea Party Convention last week.

So he showed up today with his left hand showing a grocery list to purchase ahead of another expected snowstorm in DC.

Scrawled on his hand were milk, bread, crossed out, eggs, hope, and change.

As the news reports go he crossed out bread, just so he could make pancakes.

This all came about because Palin had seven words scrawled on her hand during the convention after she joked about President Obama’s extensive use of the teleprompter.

One would like to think that today’s White House has a level of sophistication that would preclude stooping to mockery of a loosing vp candidate, unless they have something to be frightened about.

Sara Palin has become a household name unlike any other former loosing vice presidential candidate.

It is somewhat unheard of in American political history.

My take on Palin at this juncture, which is much to early for an analysis or projection to 2012, is that she has a following and there is something in her inner soul, unlike other political characters, that the people truly like.  She is wholesome and she energizers , much like the Eveready battery.

In contrast, President Obama talks to the right but moves the country to the left.  This is disingenuous and duplicitous and he can accomplish this in a 10 word sentence.

After one year in office Obama still has 60% of the population that thinks he’s a good guy; but unfortunately 40% think he’s doing a poor job.

His party, under his leadership and campaigning,  has lost gubernatorial races in Virgina and New Jersey and on top of these losses a senatorial race in the democratic stronghold of Massachusetts, a seat held by Sen. Ted Kennedy.

After all of this he still doesn’t hear the people – instead his White House has the time to mock a former vice presidential candidate for notes on her hand.

These kids, Obama, Emanuel and Axelrod, are wet behind the ears reflecting the inexperience they didn’t have when they entered the offices they hold, and, for some reason, don’t seem to respect.

Now, Obama is using a Saul Alinsky, “Rules For Radicals”, strategy and will hold a health care televised conference on February 25 between legislative leaders from both sides of the isle to resurrect health care reform.

The GOP are already calling it an Obama trap.  The Dems don’t have the votes to pass any bill, whether it be the house or the senate, but Obama is not willing to reset the debate on health care to develop a  bipartisan bill that gradually phases in health care reform that truly cuts costs and is good for the people. The real question is whether such a conference should be held.  The Dems are not going to reset the discussion and the GOP is not going to discuss the bills in the house or senate.

Obama sees most of what takes place as political tactics. And his advisers tell him what he wants to hear.

Dem losses in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts has nothing to do with tactics – it has to do with the voice of the people.

Obama doesn’t want to recognize these real events and the people’s voice opposing the direction Obama is taking this country.

The truth is in Obama’s words, which are disingenuous, duplicitous and filled with broken promises.
