In the aftershock of the Massachusetts election, one that was more a referendum of President Obama’s performance during his first year in office than it was a loss in a Democratic/Kennedy stronghold to a Republican, the president only admitted to ‘loosing touch with the people’, and then he went back to the same old rhetoric and failed to listen to the voice of the people of Massachusetts by saying that he will continue pushing for ‘economic stimulus and health care reform’.
He wants to spend America into bankruptcy while his priority as president should be jobs, jobs, jobs. Instead it’s a progressive agenda of spending and taxation
It is sad that such a learned man can speak with a silver tongue, but fail to listen – and listen to the obvious that came from the electorate of the blue state of Massachusetts.
“Now, we’ve gotten pretty far down the road, but I have to admit, we’ve run into a bit of a buzzsaw along the way,” Obama said in Ohio today. “The long process of getting things done runs headlong into the special interests, their armies of lobbyists and partisan politics aimed at exploiting fears instead of getting things done.”
The ’special interests’ are in the White House along with the ‘armies of lobbyists’ that Obama was going to do away with and the ‘partisan politics’ demonstrated by Obamacare and all along the way ‘exploiting fears’ from the White House.
Interesting how words can be turned around to make political rhetoric into truths of the other kind.
The president is a hard head with an agenda, an agenda that is now beginning to be heard across this nation.
But you see he is defying the obvious; since he has been in office, politically he has lost gubernatorial races in Virgina and New Jersey and now a senate seat in Massachusetts.
Besides these national political losses, he failed to bring the Olympics to Chicago and his effort in Copenhagen on climate change was a debacle, as it should have been with the debauchery of the scientific facts surrounding the premise.
We are narrowing down the Obama agenda and the people are beginning to see what they don’t like.
That obviously came about when he himself admitted to his only failure, ‘I lost touch with the people’.
How can one loose touch with the people when he’s in the people’s face consistently. During his first year in office he gave 411 speeches, 41 interviews and 29 speeches on health care.
Oh, Mr President you didn’t loose touch with us – you told us who you are as compared to who we thought you were when campaigning for the office.
Your inheritance, yes the Bush years, gave you the good and the bad. You use the good and denigrate the bad and use it as an excuse for your failures during your first year of your first term.
Stand up Mr. President and be what you promised to be, but keep in mind this nation has sent you a message that it is to the right of center and that it has no room for your progressive agenda.
