I’ve played a lot of baseball in my day and quickly learned the importance of keeping my eye on the ball; metaphorically, later in life when I wasn’t playing baseball, I never took my eye off the ball, it was a lesson well learned on the field of dreams.
America has taken its eye off the ball as a result of a charismatic, Afro-American President who doesn’t speak as well as you might think without a teleprompter and he has been very effective in diverting our attention domestically with back-room Chicago-style political diversions, of health care reform, cap and trade, wealth redistribution, growth of government, the take-over of banks, investment institutions, the auto industry and is attempting to make inroads into stifling communications despite his false promises of transparency. Meanwhile his disapproval rating is at the 56% level and unemployment is at a realistic rate of 17.5%.
Where should the focus be after ferreting-out all the diversions?
Iran – the symbolism of Nazi Germany of yesterday, but again the world threat of tomorrow.
But where is America with this threat? I’ll tell you where it is – the Obama administration has taken its eye off the ball. Perhaps with a Marxist purpose in mind?
But who’s paying attention to Iran, the United States the most powerful military nation in the world? Or, is it Israel the most threatened nation in the world? A nation that the Obama administration seems to be distancing itself from.
Might we ask what this foreign policy move is all about, or are we all consumed with the Obama agenda that seems to be stonewalling the Iran threat?
Or, perhaps we are not being told what is being done by this administration behind the scenes with respect to Iran – more transparency?
All that I know on the basis of what is being revealed, not by the White House, is that Iran is on its way to becoming a nuclear threat not only to the Middle East but also to the West and the rest of the World.
President Mahmoud Ahamadinejad has dismissed the West’s year-end deadline for Iran to accept an enrichment fuel deal.
The West believes Iran wants to make atomic bombs.
And what comes out of the White House, “Mr Ahmadinejad may not recognize, for whatever reason, the deadline that looms, but that is a very real deadline for the international community,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Tuesday.
He went on to say, “If they decide not to take it, then the (major powers) will move accordingly.”
I mean this rhetoric is laughable. Is this the world order that Obama is working toward – “the major powers” ? I mean the world powers is - Us. It has been us for as long as we can remember. It was us that saved Europe more than once – yes it is us!
Meanwhile Ahmadinejad says that the nuclear arsenals of the United States and Israel should be dismantled. The Jewish state is assumed to have the Middle East’s only atomic weapons.
“They must know that the Iranian nation and all the world’s nations will continue resisting until the complete (nuclear) disarmament of American and all arrogant powers,” Ahmadinejad said.
I know, there’s a lot on our plate, much more than I would have ordered. But you see, Obama created the menu and metaphorically he’s not keeping his eye on the ball of importance.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackRemarkable, never once taking ones eye off the ball throughout life. Unfortunate that Time Magazine wasn’t aware of this individual since it certainly would have eliminated Bernanke qs Man Of The Year. Actually it would qualify as Man Of The Millennium.
Even a legitimate baseball Hall OF Famer, Senator Bunning, not a playground athlete, recently took his eye off the ball when he was the only member of the Senate to be absent from voting on health care reform that he so vocally objected to. Even 92 year old Senator Byrd was wheeled into the Senate to vote on this most important legislation. And to think Bunning actually pitched a perfect game.
But all is not lost. We can celebrate the return of the teleprompter thingee. How dare that Afro-American president use a teleprompter when every red blooded true American knows it should only be used by our Anglo-American presidents. Who does Obama think he is? Next thing you know he’ll want to come into the White House through the front entrance.
Obama took over the banking industry? Please explain.
I would have liked to comment on the other list of things you mentioned along with banks and certainly the Marxist conspiracy concerning Iran, but I have to get my Sunday football picks in. There’s a big carryover from last week and I feel confident about five of my picks but I need one more. The Eagles minus seven over the Broncos looks too easy. Could be some Chicago style fix in on that one.
I missed you Norman. Watch out for the Giants.
