Gee, I thought it was about health care for the American people, but Sen. Harry Reid, a Democratic croupier from Las Vegas, told it the way it is in Congress today when speaking about the Senate health bill: “I don’t know a senator that doesn’t have something in this bill important to them . . . and if they don’t it doesn’t speak well of them.”

It was clear that the Democrats – no Republican voted for the health bill – exchanged policy and principles for payoffs and politics and Harry confirmed it.

Apparently President Obama was very effective in bringing backroom Chicago-style politics to DC.   However, most didn’t know this was the ‘change’ he was talking about when campaigning for the presidency?

The Las Vegas croupier called a spade a shovel today implying that any Democratic senator that didn’t get something out of the health bill must very well be a non corrupt politician.

My, how could one be elected to the Senate, or become President, and not be corrupt?

Unheard of. It was Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska that grabbed the brass ring, with no Medicaid payments from Nebraska after 2013 in perpetuity.   It was even greater than the Louisiana purchase that Mary Landrieu landed or what Chris Dodd got for an unnamed hospital in Connecticut.

While 57% of Americans told Obama and his Congress they didn’t want this legislation, the president is now trying to sell us Enron accounting by telling us this health bill is going to save us $132B over 10 years and will not add to the deficit.

They try to hide that they are going to take $470B out of Medicare – which no one believes will happen – and get upfront taxes of some $518M before Americans receive anything in return and yes, it will come from the middle class too – something Obama promised wouldn’t happen.

It will take time before we ferret out what’s in this 2,500 page bill that just became available – that’s right no one has read it.  But I am sure we will find some real gems hidden in this tomb.

No sense talking more about Obama’s transparency, for it truly is equivalent to a Medicare patient with a bad case of cataracts in both eyes.

Unfortunately, America’s adoption of Obama is much like marrying the wrong person and trying to work out the kinks later.
