The naivety, hypocrisy and mendacity, of the Obama Administration continues as the White House attempts to bamboozle the people of this great nation with imagery over promised transparency.

Next Tuesday, after some 86 days and 8 war council meetings of ‘dithering’ over a decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, Obama will announce his strategy to the people with a staged backdrop of the US Military Academy at West Point.

The message could have been easily delivered from the White House.

But, no!  Imagery and a live audience are critical to the message.  We must perceive the strength of the President on defense as he delivers an overdue decision, while soldiers are dying between the time the request was made and next Tuesday, using the corps of cadets as though they were a Hollywood set.

Leaks coming out of DC say Obama will send some 30,000 troops to Afghanistan – fazing them in over a two year period, while his hand-picked leader of the Afghan war, General Stanley McChrystal, requested 40,000 troops two and a half months ago.

Obama says this is the right war at the right time and a war he wants to win, but we have to get it right this time, compared to Bush getting it wrong last time.   Wars in a country in which many other nations engaged, but never won.

Let us hope Obama defines what winning means while he is expected to set a timetable for withdrawal and turning over security matters to the corrupt country of Afghanistan, a country that hasn’t seen stability or democracy in its entire existence.

Perhaps Obama will explain to this nation on Tuesday how we are expected to pay for this war along with all of the other ambitious programs he has put on our plate during a troubled economy and unemployment at 17.5 percent?  Yes, this is the real number not the rigged government number.

Some in his administration suggest that we tax the wealthy again along with what they will be paying for health care reform and cap and trade.  Well, that certainly plays into Obama’s plan for wealth re-distribution.

How often can one tap into the wealth of this country before the well runs dry and the middle class, who Obama promised not to tax, is left with a debt that will take generations to pay off?

Obama is counting on the nations’ naivety with the imagery of patriotism, flags, the military formality and tradition of West Point and the rigid cadets sitting at attention listening to Obama’s teleprompter rhetoric, while a nearby cemetery reflects the true reality of war with fallen soldiers and the love ones who mourn them.
