While the Obama Administration tries to justify its cooked numbers on what the stimulus package has and hasn’t done, alleging 1 million jobs saved, it is not focusing on creating jobs; instead the focus is on spending $1 trillion on health care reform, the impact of which will loose further jobs.
Health care reform will result in tax increases for all Americans during a deep recession; have a severe impact on small business, forcing many to close because they can’t afford the cost of health care, resulting in further job loss.
Health care reform should be a priority, but it should be put on hold at this critical stage of unemployment crisis: 10.2% unemployed, 17.5% underemployed.
The following common sense steps will create jobs: defer health care reform until the economy improves, this will create jobs by not putting small business out of business because of health care costs; use stimulus money that has not been spent to support – through low interest loans – to small business, the sector of the American economy that provides most of the jobs; implement a tax cut, not a tax increase for all; reduce, not increase spending; use TARP money that has not been spent to pay down the deficit and reevaluate administration polices by not taking advantage of a ’serious crisis,’ to meet a socialist agenda.
Obama announced today that he will hold a Jobs Summit in December – more rhetoric that will produce more talk, but no jobs.
There is a philosophy in the White House that overwhelms this administration centering on the thesis of Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who has stated: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
While the entire nation realizes that the creation of jobs should be the focus, not further spending at this time on health care, this administration is taking advantage of a ’serious crisis’ to push its agenda for socialism, redistribution of wealth, more government control and an erosion of capitalistic values.
It appears that the Obama administration is not going to allow common sense to get in the way of its motives.
