There are no faces nor compassion in government controlled health care, just a cold hearted computer printing out a formula for the treatment of your medical condition and you either fit into the grid for government directed treatment or you don’t.

That’s where we are headed if President Obama has his way.

Many of us, young and old will fall in-between the cracks, particularly the elderly, because they are the focus, for this is where the cost savings will come from, because as Obama said, “Health Care Reform is designed to lower the deficit.”

Therefore, the elderly he implies, is where the savings must take place.  There is an element here that suggests that at a certain time in life, there is a ‘duty to die.’

You might take this all, in reality, somewhat personal, because we are talking about your mother, your father and your grandparents and you tomorrow.

It’s important for you to put a face on this dramatic change in our health care system.

You might ask what is wrong with our current system. People from around the world beat a path to our door for treatment.  Well there is nothing wrong with the health care we deliver, but it is too costly and does need reform.  But what would be wrong with modifying the current system without putting it under government control; the latter of which other countries have done to the people’s detriment?

This country was built upon many sound principles,  one of which happens to be compassion.

Think about what we have done as a country on a global basis – historically we have come to the aid of friend and foe in natural disasters or acts of terrorism.  We were instrumental in assisting Europe in two wars and rebuilt the countries of our former enemies, who are now allies.

Yet we have an administration that apologizes when they go abroad for our actions.  We have nothing to apologize for in order to meet Obama’s political strategy of ‘change.’

If you haven’t recognized it, ‘change’ is the problem.  But it is not the change you were promised.

Health Care is now the focus, but spending is the problem.  A trillion dollars for health care reform over the next 10 years, increasing our astronomical deficit.  And be not fooled, Obama’s spending in six months is not what George Bush left him. It is his spending and he should, and will, be accountable for it.

We are not on a path of health care compassion for our own.  It’s all about outlandish spending, growth of government and an objective of controlling the deficit — not health care compassion or better health care for all – even illegal aliens.

Now is the time to let your legislative representatives know where you stand on this critical issue.
