Oh, we know you came off of World War II as a hero so much so we made you President of the United States and with good reason.

We didn’t do this just because you were a Commander in Chief of the Allied forces that defeated Nazi Germany but we witnessed how you handled the strong personalities such as Stalin, Churchill, Montgomery, Patton and Marshall.

And when you became President through landslide winnings, we had eight years of peace, during a cold war with Russia, with very little loss of life and a very fine economy.

As President you were never a target because of radical left or right wing positions.  You were a President that led without controversy.  No one wanted to assassinate you.

You were not a focal point of conflict.  You were a quiet leader

Ever since you left office we have had leaders that have drawn public animosity for one reason or another.  Assassinations, and attempted assassinations have taken place since your presidency.

I always admired your administration and its accomplishments.  I served in the United States Navy during your term of office and proudly so.

The likes of you should surface again — and hopefully soon.
