While unemployment is reaching for an 8.9 percent level, President Obama rams a $787 Billion stimulus package through Congress, serves up a budget that our grandchildren will not be able to pay off in their lifetime and becomes CEO of Financial Institutions, Banks and the Auto Industry, the Government he oversees is spending more than $400,000 in taxpayer money to study Gay sex in Argentina Bars.

Yes, it is stranger than fiction.  The National Institutes of Health are paying researchers to cruise six bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk.

Now this may be a stimulus of sorts Mr. President, but it’s not stimulating jobs in America.

Apparently the study began in September 2008 under the Bush Administration; however, Mr. President if you can shut down Gitmo, redefine torture, set deadlines for troop withdrawal in Iraq, re-institute stem cell research, all in 100 days, you certainly can shut down nonsensical research and prevent the further waste of taxpayer money, especially in these times?

It appears that NIH researchers will have as many as 730 nights on the town for observation and interaction.

According to the project’s overview,”Targeting public venues in Buenos Aires where men meet, alcohol is consumed and sexual behavior occurs, the goal of this 2-year exploratory study is to understand the various factors that contribute to the creation of a high risk sexual space.”
