Everyone needs to read the words of the constitution -- at least once. Especially because of Obama's left wing professorial background, and now as President of the United States, he should re-read the constitution and see that it is properly adhered to as a former constitutional law professor, with knowledge greater than the average person. You see the framers of the constitution, coming from 13 American colonies, who signed the Declaration of Independence, or what we refer to as the United States Constitution, came from various backgrounds. Unfortunately nearly 50% had some form of law background, but fortunately for, We the People, there were 13 men that were merchants, 6 were major land speculators, 11 speculated in securities, 12 owned or managed slave-operated plantations or large farms, 9 received a substantial part of their income from public office, 3 were retired, 2 were scientists, 3 were physicians and 1 was a college president. They were all wealthy men, the very men that Obama would penalize today for their success, by excessive taxation. In retrospect it was a brilliant selection of framers as are the words of the Constitution. The foremost job of the President is to protect our nation -- it is a rather formidable task. Obama has declared within 100 days of his Presidency that waterboarding is torture and will close down Gitmo and disperse terrorists around the world, if possible, and declare the current state of War as something undefinable. Let us see where this takes us -- will we be more safe or less safe? After all is said and done, the Constitution seems to be more transparent than the Obama Administration. Everyone needs a lecture on the constitution, especially President Obama.

Unless you had some high level security clearance or sat in on the president's daily intelligence briefings you would have no way of knowing of any enemy combatants deaths due to enhanced interrogation techniques. If the Bush administration wouldn't allow the flag draped coffins of American soldiers returning from Iraq to be photographed they certainly wouldn't publicize any detainees deaths as a result of torture. The subject of torture and the bombing of civilian areas was a topic that Bill O'Reilly debated with Ellis Henichin recently. Obviously you watched it. They both agreed that if terrorists were definitely known to be at a certain location it should be destroyed even if it resulted in civilian injuries or death. But O'Reilly favored torture while Henican opposed it. The logic behind Henican's position begins with understanding the differences between how life is valued by Americans as opposed to radical Muslims. It becomes the decision and responsibility of the Taliban if they choose to locate their leaders among civilian population and knowing the consequences of those decisions. Conversely, it becomes our decision and responsibility whether to use enhanced interrogation techniques or other methods. The example of Israel and Hamas is similar. The Israelis have one of the most professional and effective intelligence service in the world and can identify with almost total certainty the location of missile launchers in Gaza. If the missiles are launched from schools, hospitals, apartment buildings or Mosques it is the decision of Hamas and they are willing to accept the collateral damage of Israel strikes. Senator McCain, who was subjected to years of torture opposes these measures and claims they are ineffective. He should know.
