There are many troublesome items in the tentative $789 B deal on the stimulus package announced today, but none worse than the one dealing with health care, for once the Camel’s head is in the tent you can bet the rest of the body will follow.
The Camel’s head is in the tent in the new stimulus bill and your Federal government will eventually control not only health care spending but how you are, or not, treated.
The first sign of this move was in a book written by former Sen. Tom Daschle, who was to be head of the Department of Health and Human Services, before it was revealed that he was a tax evader, failing to pay some $140,000 in back taxes. He said in the book that a popular incoming administration, such as the Obama cult phenomenon, should slip into a budget plan the beginning of health care reform as quickly as possibly after entering office, something Hillary Clinton tried to do, with failure, during Bill Clinton’s first term.
What does this mean? Every medical treatment a person receives will be tracked electronically by a federal data system. Medical privacy will be gone.
A national coordinator of Health Information Technology will monitor medical treatments to make sure what your doctor and you decide is approved, appropriate and cost effective by the Feds.
Doctors or hospitals who are not “meaningful users” of the imposed system will be subjected to penalties.
This will be controlled by Health and Human Service secretary.
This will result in affecting the proper judgment of well-trained doctors, resulting in life-altering medical decisions for patients and placing such decisions into the hands of politically motivated bureaucrats.
The end result may very well be the early demise of the young and certainly curtailing the longevity of the elderly.
It is socialistic in its origin and fascist in its design.
President Obama, during his press conference Monday, touted the goal of modernizing the health care system which he said would save billions of dollars and save lives.
“We know that health care is crippling businesses and making us less competitive, as well as breaking the banks of families all across America — and part of the reason is we’ve got the most inefficient health care system imaginable,” Obama told reporters. “We’re still using paper. We’re still filing things in triplicate. Nurses can’t read the prescriptions that doctors have written out. Why wouldn’t we want to put that on an electronic medical record that will reduce error rates, reduce our long-term cost of health care, and create jobs right now?”
The electronic medical records will be mandatory. I already go to doctors that use this process.
What is not realized in the Obama statement is that this is just the tip of the iceberg, or, the Camel’s head is in the tent . . . the rest of the program is to come as Daschle suggested in his book.
If socialistic medicine works so well, why is it that the Canadians are coming to the United States in droves for health care?
The next step in our health care system could mean:
- You and your doctor no longer have a say with respect to your well being; the government will tell you what to do
- Feds will tell hospitals what to do if they want to stay in business
- As a result of the bureaucratic process treatment will probably be too little, too late
- Treatment will be mired in red tape
- The elderly will exit life sooner and in less comfort
- Humans are expendable
- Alternative treatment will not be an option
- If you object to the new system, it will be like not paying taxes — that is for some
Be careful for what you wish, you might just get it . . . and I think you got it!
