It appears that the world is meant to be in a state of constant unrest. Some of this can be attributed to the people, at those times of the most violent unrest, who temporarily inhabit places on this global planet, and perhaps the rest can be placed on the law of the jungle.
If we reflect upon history and try to think of a period of time when one country or another was not at war or in conflict with another, we would have a difficult time of coming up with words like peace on earth.
Yet, how often over many years have we sent out Christmas or New Year’s cards saying Peace on Earth?
Perhaps it is not much different than the law of the jungle and its pecking order, both animal and marine, or all the species that live on earth as we humans.
There are times when the world unrest is worse than at other times. This may not be any different than the theories of climate change.
Today, in the midst of global warming changes, we are talking about temperatures in Germany of -49 degrees and a potential of another ice age.
So much for Al Gore.
I sometimes think that rhetoric does more to erode confidence globally than what takes place in reality, or politically.
All of the signs of Depression are before us. All of the signs of socialism are also before us, especially with the Government bailouts in the trillions of dollars.
Somehow, it is all reminiscent of the Great Depression of 1929; Roosevelt tried to bring us out of this period of time with similar packages, like the WPA.
It didn’t work. It was World War II that brought us out of that depression.
Is that what’s on the horizon again?
I hope not for my children and grandchildren. But, it is plausible.
Inexperience is no replacement for experience. Let’s hope we have experience backing up our incoming leadership of inexperience.
This analysis applies to all aspects of our government, from the economy — a major issue — globally and domestically, jobs, health care, social security and energy concerns.
Oh, and the environment. I wish the pundits would leave all the concerns to the planet — especially when the doomsayers are predicting global warming while the scientists are predicting another ice age.
It seems to me the Obama Administration needs to focus on we the people, and try to keep the law of the jungle in check.
