Voters heading to the polls in two weeks will have to be careful they don’t give up an important right our democracy provides — the right to a check and balance in our political system.
As has been dramatically exhibited during this presidential campaign, the majority of the media is left wing and if the left wing gains control of the Congress and the left is voted into the White House during this election, there will be no check and balance.
If the left melts the power of the media, Congress and the White House into one, America will be well on its way to a Marxist form of socialism.
Only the voters can provide the check and balance to prevent any power, whether it be left or right, of taking control of this Republic.
An example of left wing attacks and left wing media support came about when Obama sought out ‘Joe the Plumber.’
It was ‘Joe the Plumber’ who nailed Obama with a simple question, “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” Obama explained to Joe his left wing economic philosophy to “spread the wealth around.”
This response didn’t go over very well for Obama and made ‘Joe’ into an American icon with a 58% approval rating. And what did Obama’s campaign do when they didn’t like the outcome of their candidate’s response, they sent the left wing media to dig up something on Joe, who’s first name is Steve — his middle name is Joe. Secondly they found out he owed some back taxes and didn’t have a plumber’s license.
The same left wing media did not camp out at the home of unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers whose home was used by Obama to launch his political career and served with him on a Board where both gave contributions to ACORN, a pro-Obama voter registration group being investigated by the FBI for voter fraud.
No, they attack a plumber’s credibility who asked a simple question that ferreted out a socialistic response from Obama. Obama says he will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 who, he says, involves 95% of the people. But he doesn’t tell you that percentage includes 40 million people that don’t pay taxes. Obama’s plan involves handing out welfare payments to those that don’t pay taxes. If you get a check for doing nothing, what’s the incentive to work?
Nor, did the left wing media camp-out at Tony Rezko’s home, a convicted felon who helped Obama purchase a home.
No, they went after Joe the Plumber, and more recently the New York Times did a hatchet job on Cindy McCain, while writing a puff piece on Michelle Obama.
And where is the left wing media when it comes to the voter registration group called ACORN, who Obama’s campaign donated close to a million dollars?
Thank god Obama had the good judgment to nominate foot in mouth Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate.
Early this week Biden gave Americans a good reason to vote for John McCain when he said if Obama is elected, “Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.”
Biden said he guaranteed that if elected Sen. Obama will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power, causing him to make tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.
Why would the voter want to ‘test’ our nation with this young inexperienced candidate?
Now with running mates like this making a case to for vote for John McCain, it is no wonder Obama hangs around with the likes of Ayers, Resko, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalidi and defends the group called Acorn.
America’s check and balance is in danger of collapse if the left gains power, for the likes of Reid and Pelosi will make every attempt to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine, which could put right wing radio talk show hosts out of business because they would be required to provide a left point of view for every right wing comment.
These are but a few of the examples of what can happen when the extreme is allowed to gain more power than they — the right or the left — should be endowed. Voter beware!
