If a rookie baseball player came to the show with the arrogance of a rookie Senator named Obama running for President of the United States, they would send him back to the bush leagues with the heat of a 97 mph fast ball.

Check out above the latest brilliant ad Senator McCain’s campaign developed which captures the arrogance of the rookie Senator.

The voice over announcer says, “It should be known that in 2008 the world will be blessed.  They will call him: The one.”

Then Obama appears and in his own voice says, “A nation healed!  A world repaired!  We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

The announcer says, “He has anointed himself ready to carry the burden of The One.  To quote Barack, “I have become a symbol of America returning to our best traditions.”  He can do no wrong.

A female asks, “Do you have any doubts?”

Obama says, “Never!

The announcer asks, “Can you see the light?

Obama says, “A light will shine down from somewhere.  It will light upon you.  You will experience an epiphany, and you will say to yourself, ‘I have to vote for Barack.’ “

The announcer voice over says, “And the world shall receive his blessings.”

And, Obama says, “This is the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal!”

Then, out of nowhere Charlton Heston appears and says, “He has shown his mighty hand!”

And the announcer concludes, “Barack Obama may be The One, but is he ready to lead?”

In between my journalistic days, when I was a public relations counselor and was often called upon to give speeches and lectures, one of my favorite stories was about how Moses was leading his people towards the Red Sea and charging close behind were the Egyptians with their swords flashing in the sun.

Moses PR man ran up to him as he approached the Red Sea and said, what are you going to do now Moses?”

Moses said, “I’m going to wave my hands and the sea will part and I will lead my people safely to the other side.  Then when the the Egyptians attempt to cross, I will again wave my hands and the sea will engulf the enemy.”

The PR man said, “Moses you do it like you said and I’ll get you 10 pages in the New Testament.”

And so, perhaps the arrogant “One” is looking for some coverage in the New New Testament?
