Here is another example of who Barack Obama associates himself with, a prominent black leader Jessie Jackson, who, “Wants to cut his N**s off” over faith base initiatives and talking down to black people.
Oh Jessie quickly apologized for his ‘crude’ comment that was caught on an open mike before a TV interview. Nevertheless the comment was made, despite the pundits making excuses for an open or closed mike, as though this would make a difference in Jessie Jackson’s thoughts.
Following the comment Jackson said in a statement: “I have great passion for this campaign and traveled across the country … arguing the case for the campaign,” Jackson said. “And this thing I said in a hot-mic statement that’s interpreted as a distraction, I offer apology for that. I don’t want harm or hurt to come to this campaign.”
Furthermore he said about the comments, “They were hurtful and wrong … but we have a relationship that can survive this.”
There is something more here. These are true Jackson feelings, open mike or not. There is something here that Jackson doesn’t like despite his back peddling. It must go beyond faith based charities and talking down to black people.
Although a recent survey shows that the American people when asked whether Obama talks down to Black people, 68 percent said yes and 32 percent said no.
Now Jackson has stepped out of line along with a number of other Obama associates that he has had to disassociate himself with.
Playing off the words of James Carvel, a Democratic political operative, who worked the ‘economy’ as a key word in the Clinton campaign, I think now it is the ‘judgment’ as the key operative word when it comes to Obama.
Obama is a candidate without experience and perhaps the GOP should recognize his consistent lack of ‘judgment.’
For some reason Obama can’t seem to capture the support within his own race.
This needs further exploration, and this story may very well have legs.
