The longer Hillary Clinton stays in the Democratic race battling with Barack Obama, with no clear sign of possibly winning the popular vote or the votes of the super delegates, the more harm she will be doing to the Democratic Party and its eventual nominee.
Perhaps this is the Clinton’s strategy, both Hillary and Bill, “If we can’t have the nomination, when we know we can beat McCain, then no Democrat will have the White House.”
Therefore the longer she stays in the race and the more mud she and Bill throw around about Obama the less likely chance he will have of beating McCain in the general election.
Now it’s not that she still doesn’t have hopes of winning this time around, although the numbers make it look slim, the longer she stays in the race the more damage she does to Obama and the Party.
It is time for Party leaders to step in and make some decisions before the forthcoming presidential election is declared a no contest while Hillary is posturing for the White House in 2012.
Perhaps Hillary is posturing for 2012, speculating that McCain could be a one term President because of his age, Obama will be out because of his loss in 2008, she will again feel entitled because she wasn’t given a shot this time around, will gain further seniority and popularity in the Senate and still be young enough?
