Hillary Clinton’s making a lot about taking a telephone call at 3 AM and I didn’t even know it was an issue in this Presidential campaign.

So I’ve been getting up at 3 AM to take a call and I fell asleep waiting for the ring.

One night I called the White House to see if they were awake and I got a White House Counselor in India.

I just don’t get what this 3 AM thing is all about?

When I called the White House, I wasn’t surprised that I got someone in India, for most of the time when I dial any number I get India.

There are Clinton ads about 3 AM, the first one was directed at Obama pointing out that he didn’t have enough foreign policy experience to answer the phone at 3 AM, the second was about McCain who didn’t answer the phone because he couldn’t handle a discussion on the economy or the housing crisis.

I always wondered whether these important calls would come in on the red phone — and is the red phone in the President’s ear while he or she sleeps or is doing something else in the bedroom?

I always envisioned Hillary in sexy lingerie cuddling Bill, whether it be when she was first lady or, highly unlikely, when she’s on top as President.

And it crossed my mind, why 3 AM?  Why not 2 AM or 4 AM?

Now if someoe called my house at 3 AM it would be okay because we have a human day watch and a night watch and someone would always be up.  I don’t even know why we have an ADT security system.

That 3 AM call is really an important issue in this campaign according to the Clintons, because it’s something like Jimmy Buffett’s cocktail hour, ‘it’s always 5 PM somewhere.’

Someone said the only reason Hillary Clinton would answer the red phone at 3 AM would be to find out she lost another super delegate.
