Just as he seemed to be getting over a bad week in his association with Pastor Wright, Barack Obama, stepped into another minefield when the Washington Times discovered there may be a political motive behind the breaches of presidential candidates passports that might is linked to an Obama advisor.
The Times said a focal point of the probe will be an employee who works for The Analysis Corporation. The firm is headed by John O. Brennan, an Obama adviser on intelligence and foreign policy matters.
The Times said the only individual who accessed both Obama’s and John McCain’s passport was the employee of TAC.
Two other contract workers were fired from Stanley Inc. after it was discovered they accessed Obama’s files.
According to the State Department this could be nothing more than “imprudent curiosity,” but the internal investigation and a separate congressional probe are expected to delve into whether it was anything more.
It is not enough that the Democrats are having a contentious battle among themselves and their delegates, but now there is more evidence, on behalf of both candidates, that there are dirty tricks being played by both candidates and their campaigns.
The democrats with their exhaustive primaries, which are on going, their inability to seat delegates, the bickering for the Super Delegates, and the battle between Michigan and Florida over fairness to seat delegates makes the party look like it’s about to implode.
This does not give the consumer much confidence in the word “Change.”
How can we expect candidates from this dysfunctional party to carry on the nation’s business?
