If you are a politician, you can’t get from nowhere to somewhere without being on the take.

Is it possible that some honest politicians slip through the cracks?  Perhaps, but I don’t know who they are or how they could possibly make it as a Boy Scout.

Some enlightening comments came forth this week from no other than Bill Bradley, the former Senator, fomer presidential candidate, New York Knicks basketball star, Princeton graduate and Rhodes scholar, who said:

“I think Barack Obama has a much stronger chance of beating John McCain in the general election.  I think Hillary is flawed in many ways, and particularly if you look at her husband’s unwillingness to release the names of the people who contributed to his presidential library.

“And the reason that is important — you know, are there favors attached to $500,000 or $1 Million contributions?  And what do I mean, by favors?  I mean, pardons that are granted, investigations that are squelched, contracts that are awarded, and regulations that are delayed.

“These are important questions.  The people deserve to know.  And we deserve, As Democrats, to know before a nominee is selected, because we don’t want things to explode in a general election against John McCain.”

Well I couldn’t help but reflect on “Dollar Bill’s” comments — he was called that by his fellow athletes because they thought he still had the first dollar he ever earned — because I do believe few politicans get to Congress or the White House without having been on the take at one time or the other.

And this is what an inside Senator of the same party is implying about the Clintons.  This is not any revelation to the electorate, or at least I hope it isn’t, but it seems to confirm that most politicians are on the take.

Now Bradley is supporting Obama, not Clinton, and perhaps this is why he is delivering this bias statement.

So now let’s turn the tides — is Obama clean?

I don’t think so, he has been associated with far-left domestic Weathermen terrorists William Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn, has appeared with them more than once, spoke on the same panel – “Intellectuals in Times of Crisis”, and accepted a $200,000 political contribution from Ayres.

But this is not all of his ties; Obama is involved with Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Syrian-born US citizen.  He is on trial as we speak for purloing up to $6 million from the people of Illinois with various kickback schemes.

Obama joined a law firm headed by Allison S. Davis, a politically connected man who would go on to become a partner with Rezko in real estate deals in Chicago.

Rezko became unusually entangled in the purchase of Obama’s present home while Obama was a US senator in June of 2005.

If all of this is not enough, Obama is a member of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ and his spiritual advisor for more than 20 years is Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.  The philosophy of the church is to promote and preach afro-American policies, which on the surface sounds fine.  However these policies result in giving racist Louis Farrakhan an award and calling him one that “truly epitomized greatness.”

This week a present member of Congress, Iowa Republican Steve King said that terrorists would be”dancing in the streets” if Democratic candidate Barack Obama were to win the presidency.

Rep. King based his prediction on Obama’s pledge to pull troops out of Iraq, his Kenyan heritage and his middle name, Hussein.

“The radical Islamists, the al-Qaeda . . . would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror,” King said in an interview with the Daily Reporter in Spencer.

I really don’t think you can get from nowhere to somewhere without being on the take.
