There is a lot of political stuff flying around — including the kitchen sink, which Clinton seems to be throwing at Obama, although denying it, as her last ditch effort to stay in the race.
When Clinton thought she was Miss ‘inevitable’, she was not accessible to the media. Now that she’s Miss ‘unlikable’ she is more than accessible. And now that Mr. Obama is Mr. ’inevitable’ he is not accessible to the media.
In contrast, McCain has always been accessible to the media and continues to be so, which allowed him to surive the udeserved attack by the New York Times about his alleged, but unproven, romantic association with a Washington lobbyst.
A significant difference between the openness of the Republican candidate v the Democratic candidates?
But these are not the only differences. It is difficult for Clinton to call Obama too liberal, because after all that is what Democrats are suppose to be.
On this issue she seems to be between a rock in a hard place. You see she is not as liberal as he. Obama is perceived by the public as one that can unify the country, yet his voting record both in Illinois and in the US Senate shows he does not cross the isle to compromise which does not bode well for unification.
Unfortunately, he is a likable person and perhaps because he is African American, the electorate sees this as unifying and representing change; but Obama doesn’t define his change, he sidesteps it with smooth rhetoric.
Perhaps because he is young, with not much experience in DC, the public sees this as a welcome change. But he doesn’t elucidate what change he brings to the table. And make no mistake his voting record says he is as liberal as a Democrat can be and compromise does not seem to be in his modus operandi, which truly represents unification.
When he was in the state legislature in Illinois he made every effort to tax everything in sight. And you can count on Obama doing more of the same if he gets into the White House.
While Hillary circulates pictures of Obama as a Somali elder, she doesn’t attack him on his true weaknesses — that being an extreme liberal that does not have the leadership qualities to unify.
Hillary and Bill have bungled their co-campaign strategy each step of the way. Allowing Bill to speak of Bill, and to sell campaign buttons with both his and her photos on the button promoting her campaign as a co-presidency rather than standing on her own and attacking Obama’s critical weaknesses has proven to be a fatal blunder.
You can count on McCain representing himself as an agent of change with experience.
You can count on McCain staying the course in Iraq making the striking difference between him and Obama who wants an immediate pull out allowing the Middle East to become a tinder box.
Obama’s ties to a benefactor from Iraq to the tune of $3.5 million will prove to haunt him.
Obama’s ties to a Chicago church which portrays a racist and polarizing philosophy could be troublesome.
The rumors of Muslim ties will be an undercurrent that will plague Obama.
Obama’s lack of specifics for change will not bode well for him.
