I think we Americans underestamate the might of our military.
We hear a lot of nonsense from the left about our military. Oh, they mouth the support of our troops and knock our intellengence operations, and play their politics with our defense, which by all standards around the world is the best. There have been no attacks on our soil since 9/11, the latter of which I continue to lay at the door step of the Clinton Administration — and will continue to do so.
There have been no attacks under the Bush Administration.
And we demonstrated this evening what our military can do. A US Navy ship successfully launched a missile and struck a dying US spy satellite passing 130 miles over the Pacific today.
It happened according to the AP just after 10:30 pm EST.
This is no small feat, and one our enemines should observe carefully.
The goal, according to the AP report was a first-of-its-kind mission for the Navy to not just hit the satellite but to obliterate a tank aboard the spacecraft carrying 1,000 poiunds of toxic fuel called hydrazine.
The fuel aboard could pose a potential health hazard to humans if it landed in a populated area.
Officials said it might take a day or longer to know for sure if the toxic fuel was blown up.
It may seem as one small step for mankind — but in my opinion it is one major step to our defense.
