News of the Strange crossed the wires today.

A New York entrepreneur, according to Reuters, is bringing together 20 “sugar mamas” and 20 “boy toys” for a speed dating event.

The maturing women must be over 35, earn at least $500,000 a year or have a minimum of $4 million in liquid assets, entrusted assets, or a divorce settlement.

The boy toys are under 35 and are vetted by an elite New York matchmaker.

To get your boy toy the maturing women will attend Manhattan’s 230 Fifth club on February 7.

Speed-dating will pair up prospective couples for face-to-face meetings that last just a few minutes.  The partners rotate over the course of the evening allowing each to make the acquaintance of many potential partners.

“Symbiosis has allowed ugly rich men to attract young, gorgeous, money hungry women for centuries, it’s now the women’s turn,” proclaims pocketchangenyc.com, the Web site that Jeremy Abelson is using to promote the event.

NUDE GERMAN FLIGHTS

Meanwhile a German travel firm is promoting, again according to Reuters, a trial nudist day flight from Erfurt to the popular Baltic Sea resort of Usedom, but the 55 passengers must remain fully clothed until they board before they strip and dress before disembarking.

The trip is planned for July 5 and costs $735.

Naturism, or “free body culture” (FKK) as it is known in Germany, was banned by the Nazis but blossomed again after the Second World War, particularly in eastern Germany.

There are FKK hotels where you can go into the restaurants and shops naked.
